2024年巴黎“女指挥家”大赛（La Maestra）冠军，并斩获五项特别大奖。这位以色列指挥家巴尔?阿夫尼的职业前景备受瞩目。她早年学习打击乐，后转向指挥，师从约夫·塔尔米、芭芭拉·汉尼根、艾耶莱特·格瓦；曾担任古斯塔沃·杜达梅尔、克劳斯·麦凯拉、郑明勋等指挥家的助理。阿夫尼以发掘冷门、非主流曲目而著称。
这一点在她与波尔多阿基坦国家管弦乐团合作的首张录音中得到充分体现：专辑汇集了夏洛特·索伊、达律斯·米约、C.P.E. 巴赫与伊戈尔·斯特拉文斯基的作品。
开篇为索伊的《大战交响曲》，作于1914年，直至2019年才首演。
米约的六部《小交响曲》之一，1917年在他担任法国驻巴西大使保罗·克洛岱尔秘书期间创作。
C.P.E.巴赫灵动明快的交响曲作于1775年。
压轴为斯特拉文斯基1940年移居美国后创作的首部重要作——《三乐章交响曲》。
