    赫尔曼・安布罗修斯（Hermann Ambrosius）是一位德国作曲家和音乐教育家。1897年7月25日出生于汉堡。他在马格德堡、柏林和开姆尼茨等地生活过，后来到莱比锡接受音乐教育，是普鲁士艺术学院汉斯・普菲茨纳的高徒。1925年至1942年，他在中德广播公司担任音乐总监，1926年起在莱比锡音乐与戏剧大学任教。1933年3月4日加入纳粹党，党号为2,994,125。1936年起，他在帝国音乐协会担任重要职务。1943年至1945年，在莱比锡的“城市青少年与大众音乐学校”任教。他曾在1939年被征召入伍，1940年免服兵役，但1944年又再次服役至二战结束。1945年后，他成为私人音乐教师、合唱团指挥和自由艺术家。1983年10月25日去世，恩根市为纪念他，以他的名字命名了一条街道。
   他的作品风格融合了浪漫主义和现代主义，能吸引广泛的听众。他留下了超过500部作品，其琉特琴音乐作品尤为重要。自20世纪30年代以来，这些作品就受到独奏家和室内乐合奏团的关注，并且越来越受欢迎。德国琉特琴音乐家协会大力推广他在这一领域的作品，并授予他荣誉会员称号。
    在纳粹崛起后，他与纳粹政权的艺术政策保持一致，参与了宣传部的工作，利用自己的音乐才华创作支持国家叙事的作品。这使得他的音乐成就因与纳粹政权的关联而变得复杂，引发了关于艺术家在道德模糊时期责任的讨论。
